Egypt was very lucky to have a el-Sisi rise up when he did (more an execption). Even so it was after much killing there. And, the situation in Egypt is still very fragile.
It appears the way Obama has been dealing with the M.E. & North Africa since 2011 is not so much about having a ‘representative govt’, but more about destabilizing, throwing a whole lot up in the air, then watching from mostly afar how things land & eventually shape up.
Sure - the Left believes "people are good." Just get rid of the imperialists and racists and everything will automatically work out for the best, right? Right...? :)
