BOSTON (AP) The St. Patrick's Day parade in Boston will make history this Sunday as two gay and lesbian groups join the fun.
The advocacy group Boston Pride and OutVets, a group of gay military veterans, have been welcomed by the organizers.
"This is a tremendous leap forward," Boston Pride organizer Sylvain Bruni said Friday.
Until now, gay rights groups have been barred by the South Boston Allied War Veterans Council from marching in the parade, which draws as many as a million spectators each year. Twenty years ago, the U.S. Supreme Court upheld the organizers' right to keep gays out.

Just like Pope Francis, he says, "Who am I to judge?"
And therein lies the problem.
No one has the gonads anymore to call perversion what it is.
Soon to be known as St. Faggots day parade.
Uh, yeah . . .
And sexuality has to do with St. Patricks day parade how? I must have missed that one. I think I’ll try that, march in the parade “Hey everybody I like to F chicks!” Do these homos have ANY idea how incredibly obnoxious not to mention selfish they are?
Pretty soon these people will hold up Pontius Pilate as the most moral guy on earth, ever. Bunch of afraid, moral handwashers is all they are.
This is just indefensible. Disgusting. It’s a celebration of St. Patrick. Gays and lesbians are welcome to march in the parade and celebrate St. Patrick with everyone else—but not carry signs or wear sick clothes and turn it into a celebration of perversity.
Hey it’s BOSTON... what could go wrong?..
Michael Fitzpatrick and Patrick Fitzmichael finally get their way.
Your point is well taken!
The parade is not about St. Patrick but about
gays, gay pride, and so forth.
HELLO...... CAMEL with his balls in the tent..
They have their own “gay pride” days and, sheesh, a whole month. Why does St Pats day have to become a celebration of perversion? What does St Pat have to do with homosexuality. For shame Cardinal Dolan.
How sweet. Is there a Hallmark card for this?
People misinterpret this all the time. Christ’s lesson was not for us to be completely non-judgmental. That would be idiocy: “Well, who was I to judge Chuckie Manson and deny his request to have Christmas dinner with me and my family?” What he meant was to understand we are all sinners. He did not absolve us from punishment. And everyone forgets that he told the prostitute who was going to be stoned, “Go forth and sin NO MORE.” He did not sanction or give any form of approval to prostitution or any other form of sin. He did not say she, or any of us, could sin with impunity. Certainly, though she may have been spared that day, if she continued in her life of sin she earned her wages, eternal death. We certainly are judged on that final day.
The scorpion and the frog analogy applies. Sooner or later the homo love will go sour once the welcomeparty has one of their children molested by them...
Yup. More faggotry from the AP. Poor American micks. You don’t see us Italians celebrate Columbus Day with fudgers.
soon the St Patrick’s parade will be a echo of the Folsom street parade
I look at more as the camel gets his nose under the tent type of scenario.

This kind of crap just makes me sick.
Our America is heading down the obamahole fast.
