Because that is what allowed the net to grow and be the level playing field that has fostered innovation. Where would FR be today if it had to pay for fast lanes and reliable access?

Pay to play and pay to win will significantly hamper growth and put those small blogs and sites at a massive disadvantage. Who does pay to win favor?

‘pay to win’ implies every hop must verify the license and permissions of the sender and receiver

iow... they will control and track all communications without a warrent.

and if they want to shut you up, all they have to do is demand a ‘fee’ (how’s $50k/mon for that conservative political site? too much? oh well)

Congratulations, you’ve allied yourself with the Marxists at Free Press and given control of ISPs to Obama.

Shouldn’t you have thought this one out?

Do you have a right to the labor of people who run ISPs?

If one percent of their customers use 30% of the bandwith why shouldn’t they be treated differently?

If all packets are treated the same why do you think everything will be a fast lane rather than a slow lane?
