Having it get dark at 7PM in the middle of summer sucks. Especially for working people who are just getting home at that time.
I spend enough time each year coming home in the dark. At least give a few months where I can sit out on the patio for an hour or so after work - grilling a steak with a beer in my hand.

THIS!!!!
I disagree. Let's have year-round standard time. Up until last week, I was finally getting up with the sun. I hate having to get up when it's pitch dark.
Couldn’t agree more! Keep it light longer and forget Standard Time. Maybe those who do not live near the coast won’t understand, but longer days during the warmer months means business. Especially to coastal/beach locations. I look forward to DST every year since I’ve been a kid. That’s a lot of years. Only a few people who can’t adjust to a time shift twice a year become the biggest whiners.
Already been tried. 1974.
Didn't survive the cries of the outraged mommas whose babies had to wait on the street corner for school buses in the dark from Nov. to Jan.
Dark at 7 in the summer? I’m at a lower latitude than you, and it doesn’t get dark until 9:30.
Did it ever occur to you to petition your employer to alter their beginning and ending working hours schedule? Why disrupt most people when a company can choose their operating hours. The government only screws things up as they have since ole Ben F. wrote about it in a ‘humorous’ piece. Ole Ben is laughing his arse off at the thought of us trying to save daylight.
It won’t fit in a piggy bank and my bank won’t accept it either. So we might as well not try to save it... </Sarcasm
How about rearranging your work hours to suit yourself?
"Evil likes darkness" and like my grandfather always said, "nothing good ever happens when the sun goes down"........
I’m in favor of double DST from May through August.
