Anyone with a medical marijuana card cannot get a carry permit.
I wouldn’t want a ZOMBIE POTHEAD wandering around with a gun either. From what I’ve seen (that’s my own experience from my UNFORTUNATE contact with some POTHEADS over 50+ years) ... they’re not able to even THINK STRAIGHT! I don’t want them waiving a gun around either!
That is a HUGE issue
Anyone who gets drunk should not be allowed a carry permit. One night my veteran husband came home drunk and had been attacked on the way home. He was out in the city street screaming, “You want war, I’ll give you war.” I quickly took his gun to a place where he could not find it and phoned his best buddy to come over and help me calm him down. Not everyone who gets drunk has a sober wife at home to do damage control.
Alcohol does more harm than MJ, I have lived it with a man who abused alcohol for 25 years, but got up every morning and went to work. I have seen plenty of passed out drunks, in my life, but few high potheads. When Barrow in Alaska outlawed alcoholic drinks there was a 70% drop in crime, especially familial crime. However a couple who liked to order wine on line won a legal case, so Barrow had to drop the prohibition and crime rose again.
Cory Booker has now (July 2017) proposed another MJ bill. making major changes in national marijuana laws. Hope someone will make these as new posts. While people are saying there is no chance of this passing with a Republican majority, I know that there are libertarian oriented Republicans who may agree. Your thoughts?? I am also listing some other interesting posts about recent experience with MJ laws.
