Moments after Levi Pettits family apologized for their sons behavior in the SAE video, Parker Rice the recent Jesuit College Preparatory School of Dallas graduate sent his own apology, via his father Bob. Here it is in full:
I am deeply sorry for what I did Saturday night. It was wrong and reckless. I made a horrible mistake by joining into the singing and encouraging others to do the same. On Monday, I withdrew from the university, and sadly, at this moment our family is not able to be in our home because of threatening calls as well as frightening talk on social media.
I know everyone wants to know why or how this happened. I admit it likely was fueled by alcohol consumed at the house before the bus trip, but thats not an excuse. Yes, the song was taught to us, but that too doesnt work as an explanation. Its more important to acknowledge what I did and what I didnt do. I didnt say no, and I clearly dismissed an important value I learned at my beloved high school, Dallas Jesuit. We were taught to be Men for Others. I failed in that regard, and in those moments, I also completely ignored the core values and ethics I learned from my parents and others.

...yes, many blacks reinforce their stereotypes, but that doesn’t excuse us from satirizing that reality by mocking it in song...
No amount of apologizing is going to unring that bell.
Right, so I wouldn’t bother to grovel.
No excuse for this period but we all know since this occurred in Oklahoma the lefties are just salivating to tar and feather every conservative. Bet on it. The media is going to town on this one. Imagine them going up to Scott Walker or Ted Cruz and asking if they think the south is still racist and will they condemn southerners for the “racist” climate. Folks, you know this is going to happen.
He should take the same words, put it to a rap beat, and turn it into a hit record.
Not if you're black, for sure.
As Jesse Jackass has often said, if you are contrite and sincere, the American people are obligated to forgive you (e.g. Willie, Monica) but that only applies to Blacks Or people they endorse.
Specially whites need not apply.
Actually they are probably not responsible for their reprehensible behavior .... they were raised by rich families that did not teach them specifically not to sing racist song on buses where cell phones were present and their might be a bottom feeder ready for 15 minutes of fame.
You aren't kidding. Not even 600,000 fatalities in a horrific civil war plus hundreds of billions in transfer payments in the intervening time could unring that bell.
Who are we to judge the oppression these two young men faced while growing-up on the mean streets of Highland Park?
Think of the danger and humiliation they faced when their dads bought them a measly BMW 5 Series for their 16th birthdays rather than the BMW 6 Series.

I have read online this Fraternity has a connection at its founding to the Klu Klux Klan. Haven't found proof, but I wouldn't be surprised if it were true.
I remember that incident! I was at the University of Cincinnati at the time and they were telling us to avoid wearing Greek letters on campus to avoid trouble.
Really? - it’s always been expected and accepted of college students that they would be rebellious, outrageous, defying taboos - from swallowing goldfish in the ‘20’s to Free Love and Freedom of Speech in the sixties, it didn’t matter who was offended - the more the better in the quest for freedom and progress - when a couple at the University of Pennsylvania got naked and screwed in front the window of a dorm, it was the kid who reported them and not the couple themselves who was almost thrown out of school - something about infringing their privacy or some such - the most outrageous thing about this situation is watching conservatives like those on Fox’s “The Five” this afternoon clucking about how terrible this is - although Greg Gutfeld was honest enough to admit that he’s heard lots of blacks use the “N” word, but these are the first whites he’s ever heard use it - and the fact that the poor dumb kids involved weren’t with it enough to know that some taboos just aren’t allowed to be broken, even in jest......
2 things every parent should fear when their child enters college. 1 they join a fraternity or sorority. 2 they become a politicians intern. Too many downsides not worth the rewards.

So no punishment for underage drinking?
We’ll they weren’t just saying the n word. Watch the video again.
I realize it’s off topic but if you’re a regular “Five” watcher, have you heard anything to explain Bob Beckel’s prolonged absence? I’ve been assuming that it’s something fixable to do with his bad back, but it’s a loooong absence.
I agree...I would just let it go. They were very wrong but by apologizing it is just drawing attention. I am sure the parents are furious and the boys are well aware of what they did. Just a major cluster that the AA community will use as a club against every white person so no use trying to grovel because they will just smash their face into the ground.
My understanding was Lakewood, not Highland Park. So the ordinary rules rather than bubble rules may apply.
