Rapper Waka Flocka Flame says he is "disgusted" and has canceled his upcoming performance at the University of Oklahoma after fraternity members there were filmed reciting a racist chant this weekend.
Members of the OU Sigma Alpha Epsilon chapter were seen chanting about lynchings and using racist epithets in a video leaked online Sunday. The university and the national SAE fraternity have both taken action against the chapter, which has been closed on the Oklahoma campus.
In a statement posted to his Instagram account, Waka Flocka writes that he's "disgusted and disappointed in the actions of the SAE fraternity at the University of Oklahoma." The rapper was scheduled to perform at the school next month, but says in his statement that he is canceling the show.
"SMFH.. I know for a fact the whole school and SAE don't agree with those kids actions so know that I'm not madd at the whole #SAE just those disgusting kids!!!!!! #WFF We can't change history but we damn sure can create our own future #DeathToRacism," he writes in the Instagram caption.

If the University truly was “Inviting” this clown to perform, I would think the fraternity would have one hell of a Discrimination Lawsuit. You are punishing us for acting like the performers you Hired??

Obama has made race relations so much worse.
I had lunch today with a friend I went to college with 30+ years ago. I mentioned that we didn’t act like that in college. We really didn’t. And I am talking about in Alabama. We were never consumed with race issues. We were concerned with girls, going to parties, having enough money, and passing exams. Obama has helped create a climate for such racial tensions.
Obama and his clowns have set race relations back at least 30 years.

From what I’ve read, they were scheduled to perform on campus. I’ve read that a few places. I don’t know if they would ever have much success with a lawsuit but the president of the university should be embarrassed. He went out grandstanding about how they don’t tolerate that at OU but then these rappers were scheduled to perform on campus. He should be embarrassed that was going to happen under his watch.
The Students could really have a lot of fun with this if they wanted to, I would be making videos, pictures, signs, all with selected LYRICS from this clown, all attached to the president in a very Public Way. Force him to RESIGN or Reinstate the Fraternity, And I believe they would have a better case than the baker that refused to endorse homosexual marriage.
I don’t mind some urban contemporary music and am actually something of a fan of early, “old school” rap and hip-hop. So, I’m not unfamiliar, but all I can say is ... who? Waka Flocka Flame? Sounds like some ridiculous, costumed character from a children’s television show.
They should put pressure on him to resign but I doubt they’ll be reinstated. I find it unbelievable they were going to allow something so obscene on campus.
Boren should be embarrassed but then it was pointed out to me that he’s a democrat. I don’t believe they have enough integrity to be embarrassed
I would be very mad if I learned this group was being allowed to perform on my university’s campus.
The only way I had heard of Waka Flocka Flame was that I was reading about Dak Prescott and the other Mississippi State players getting into a fight at a club in Panama City Beach. The article said that Waka Flocka Flame was playing there. I googled them and found where they had canceled their concert on the OU campus because of the fraternity incident. I clicked on one of their videos and it’s like all the other rap videos.
