This is truly unbelievable. The Main Street Advocacy group, which is a group that was formed by Republican leadership and funded by Republican leadership and their allies, and run by leadership lapdog Steve LaTourette has issued a truly unbelievable ad. The ad backs all the worst people in Congress like Rep. Renee Ellmers (R-NC)51% and it attacks people who objected to the idea that Barack Obama could legally contravene Federal Law via Executive Order:
Here is one thing the ad gets right, the DHS funding fight was not a wider referendum on immigration. It was a fight about whether Congress still gets to pass the legally binding laws of this nation or whether the President can just order Congress to pass legislation that is to his liking, and then if they refuse, issue an executive order that directly contradicts existing law without any consequences. Regardless of how you feel about immigration, if you believe in the idea that Congress makes laws and the President enforces the laws as written (as, you know, the Constitution sort of strongly suggests), then Congress was absolutely within its rights to take whatever means necessary to thwart the Presidents unlawful actions, including use of the power of the purse.
What these morons are defending is the right of Barack Obama to control Congress with absolutely no check whatsoever, as long as Republicans in Congress get to stay in Congress and be feted upon by lobbyists. And to do this they tell the insultingly stupid yet believable lie that failing to don their Presidential kneepads would mean that ISIS was going to infiltrate the country and kill us all.
And they have the nerve to call ordinary citizens who are furious that they got essentially nothing for GOP control of Congress bullies.

“No checks to their power?”
I can think of a couple.
Look for the Soros connections. Its probably hidden in there somewhere. He loves to set up groups with UN / NWO order type sounding names and that sounds like one..
People, the most important thing we can remember about all of this is that the Founders constructed the system to put AND KEEP — the KEYS TO THE FEDERAL CASH REGISTER IN CONGRESS and the current Gang of 535 could bring this out-of-control government spending and the steady usurpation of our freedoms to a screeching halt tomorrow at noon — IF THEY WANTED TO. Attila the Hun could occupy the White House and without the dough to hire the bureaucrats, buy the desks and computers, etc., etc. ad nauseum, Mr. Hun would be hamstrung. (See Article 1, Section 7 of the now largely moribund Constitution for details.)
Capitol Hill is infested with elected and unelected folks who care more about their net worth & the next election than they do the next generation. To enhance their chances to retain the best and cushiest job most of them have ever held, they have foolishly, dangerously and voluntarily shipped most of their former Constitutional powers west to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, thereby relieving themselves of the often dirty and dangerous (to reelection!) business of actually making the hard choices that attend the responsibilities with which the Founders charged them.
Obama is already running Congress....
(which is a big, big part of our problem ....)
It’s weird how many Republicans on Capitol Hill suffer from both Pre AND Post Traumatic “Stress” Disorder.
The Main Street Advocacy group,
Another front group for The Cheap Labor Express.
Romney and Cantor and some others were involved in this.
They tried to show how Main Street they were by launching this in a pizza parlor.
Anybody with sense knew what this conniving bunch of Rats in R jerseys were up to, trying to convince Americans to give up their country without a fight.
It’s all about the amnesty.
They are really desperate to legalize all the illegals against the wishes of the citizens.
Our government has turned against the citizens in favor of fraudulently documented foreigners.
