"Will any attempt be made to check whether these are all the emails, or will you just be accepting the secretary's word on this?" asked a reporter.
"Well, as we have said, her staff has said these were all the responsive emails they had to our request, and that's really a question for her staff to answer," Harf said.
"Well, no, no," said the reporter. "My question is: Will the State Department be attempting in any way to verify whether they are all the emails? I mean, what I imagine is there are various methods you can use to look at whether they're in sequence or whether there are gaps. I mean, will there be any attempt to verify this?"
Harf didn't have an answer. "Well, a couple points," she said. "First, as I've said, it covers the breadth of her time at the State Department. So it covers the span of when she was here. But "
"The request does, but " the reporter interjected.
"No, the records in response cover the emails she gave us back cover the breadth of her time at the State Department."
"How do you know that? How do you know they're all "
"Because I know when she started and when she left," Harf said, "and they correspond to that and they cover all of the time in between."
Reporters were still skeptical. "But you don't know that there's gaps or deleted emails or some that just weren't sent," one said.
"Well, of course," Harf conceded. "But like there's not, like, two months missing, right?"
"But you don't you can't say for sure."
"Correct," Harf said.

Special prosecutor time yet?
Sheesh...
Hillary - “I want the public to see my Email.”
So if see wants the public to see her Email she should have no problem with Trey Gowdy looking at her Server and her Hard Drive so the public are assured there are no missed Emails.
She and her staff have had over two years to clean up her email files... the really juicy stuff is probably long gone by now.
“I remember a Judge Lambert in DC who was a thorn in Bill’s Administration...”
****************************************************************************************************
Texas Federal Judge Andrew Hanen (the judge who has enjoined Obama’s illegal executive actions on Amnesty) is one such judge today. There are still a few honest and fearless judges attempting to protect the constitution but they are few and far between.
Who in Congress or elsewhere will pursue trying get a judge to secure these servers’ hard drives? Hillary and Bill are likely permanently deleting material from these servers as we sit here breathing.
She's a Valley Girl.
What a moron. Where in the harf did she come from?
I’ll bet anything that the server was paid for with taxpayer funds. Clinton’s are too cheap to buy their own server
So, if Valerie didn’t receive any emails from Hillary .. then was Cheryl Mills really running the State Dept. ..??
There are days when I just turn off the TV; and I don’t care what they do; because I know there is nothing I can do about it. It’s so very discouraging.
Hillary had complete control over her server. She could have selectively deleted emails from it. As I understand it, if it’s gone, it’s gone, with this kind of control.
It’s not like Yahoo or Google where copies of your emails are stored.
Analysis could reveal unexplainable patterns in the email records like a flurry of emails for several days, then nothing. Or an email sent with lots of questions, but no email with the answers.
If the e-mail goes outside the server, there is always the possibility of copies being made at the end and along the way.
Yes, they might be available on the receiving end. But how do you get to it without thousands of subpoenas?
Edward Snowden or other whistle blowers and anonymous leakers.
Unfortunately, DC will be last on the Target list when the mooselimbs nuke an American city.
That’s their goal, to wear us down and make us quit out of hopelessness.
