The CIA and its predecessor the OSS always had a huge “communist problem”.
The OSS so much so that General MacArthur ordered them completely out of the Pacific Theatre for the duration, and he relied on military intelligence under his command.
Well, I guess I learned something new.
I always figured, at least at the top, it was pretty anti-communist. People like Helms, Angelton, and Dulles have reputations as such.
