How is it that the French army is pretty sharp in Africa but wimps out in the home country?
The French had two horrible episodes during the Franco-Prussian war and WW II where their generals got absolutely outsmarted by the Germans. For some reason despite centuries of martial prowess the term “surrender monkeys” has stuck to them.
