Ryan PT-22, engine issues is my guess....Given the amount of money he has, shouldn't he have had the engine completely overhauled, with new parts machined from scratch, if necessary? Or do these guys get a kick out of the pilot's equivalent of Russian roulette?

That’s what I thought-it looked like a PT-22. I read somewhere they were notoriously hard to fly.

Ryan PT-22, engine issues is my guess....My Dad learned to fly in a PT-19 Cadet? Had an inverted straight 6. Not a radial engine like this one...
