Three of the four federal loan guarantees sought by First Solar were approved. The company received $1.88 billion for the 550-megawatt Desert Sunlight project in California; $680 million for the 230-megawatt Antelope Valley Solar Ranch I project in California, and $967 million for the 290-megawatt Agua Caliente solar farm near Yuma.
