As a 20+ year rabid fan, I have finally cut my nascar addiction. Restrictor plates, the stupid green-white-yellow rule, phantom debris, and the ever devolving chase have done me in. Now I will watch F1 to get my racing fix.

For anyone watching this year, note how they rarely show the stands during the actual racing. It got funny last year.

A couple of races ago they had a huge American flag and some other sponsor-type flags covering the unused seating area. It was glaringly obvious and embarrassing. Of course, one of the commentators had to remark how beautiful the area looked with the American flag on it.
