Misspelling your name is a standard conman stunt. It tends to suppress the number of hits in public records searches, while giving plausible deniability down the road. Now if it could be shown that he has used this “misspelling” on multiple occasions setting up other accounts... the limits of credibility begin to stretch ...

We are on the same page on the slightly misspelled name..

its a trick as old as the hills taught for as long as I can remember in the less than honorable credit cleaning classes and no money down real estate seminars

....its a weasel lawyer trick to say oh I wasn't trying to hide my identity I just made a mistake if you get caught doing it...

Of course these days just pretend you're an illegal then you can make up or steal any identity you want
