I didn’t know so many police officers have been killed by armor piercing bullets....
few to none....most are shot close range - and most don’t have their body armor on...those that do - might get hit in an area that causes the small pistol caliber to bounce around in the body doing much more damage than a high grained bullet that would otherwise pass right through...elected leaders of this nation are scared of the public...nothing more...
Everyone I ever arrested for violent behavior either had a small pistol, ax, knife, or shotgun...and I was a trooper in WV...were everyone is armed! None ever had an AR-15 or AK-47...Wash DC is BS...
The ultimate goal is a ban on all cenferfire rifle ammunition.
Anti gun rights groups consider .30 caliber and above ammunition sniper ammunition. The same goes for your Winchester Model 70 and Remington 700 series hunting rifles. A bullseye is on all hunting rifles.
If tyrants are wearing body armor, bearing arms without the ammunition that would defeat said body armor will yield less than acceptable results. This takes away from the security of a free State.
