I got the mumps vaccine when they first came out, at age 4. I got not only the mumps, but a rare form of encephalitis that only 30 people in the whole world ever survived. I am one of those 30 people. I can never get the measles shot because of this. The hospital burned my bedding, gown, the clothes I wore in and my Jetsons coloring book and crayons. I only got to color one picture before the coma-like disease hit. Not fair! ;) I have never had the flu shot, being allergic to soy, most chickens are fed soy and it contaminates their eggs. (My chickens eat soy-free and get real proteins). I have not had the flu since I quit my job at an Indian casino (head cashier and minion in the vault.)
Damn, that is incredible! Glad you were one that survived! You should write a book about that. Today lots of people would be real interested in how you made it through. And the life repercussions to you after that.
