Allen also said media companies add insult to injury by throwing money at Sharpton, "the least expensive negro," to "cover" up their track record of "blatant" discrimination.
"Instead of spending real money with real, 100 percent African American-owned media, it is easier to give [Sharpton] $50,000 to give them a cover," he said.

fortunately I was out of school before that sort of thing hit my hometown...
It used to be SO much different.
I was one of the very few known guitar players in my High school and was drafted to play in an all other wise black rhythm and blues band back in the mid sixties..
NOT the sort of thing that would likelu happen in 2015!

Central High School In FLint Michigan was not a particularly Spiritual Context...but....God had not been BANISHED from the “campus” as yet.
I played an after prom party at the biggest hotel in the city with the band I mentioned...when I was 17 or 18.. It was pretty boring after about an hour but there was no ill will to be found anywhere in the ballroom.
