SACRAMENTO (AP) -- A dispute over who leaked an affidavit detailing a corruption probe involving a state senator is heading to federal court in Los Angeles after a judge's action on Friday.

Ron Calderon, then a Democratic state senator from Montebello, filed a complaint in November 2013 contending that federal authorities tried to ruin his reputation by raiding his offices and leaking an FBI affidavit alleging he took money in return for promoting bills.

He was later indicted and faces trial in federal court in Los Angeles beginning Aug. 11 on charges that he accepted $100,000 in bribes, lavish trips and jobs for his children in exchange for pushing legislation to benefit a hospital that was engaged in billing fraud.

Just who the hell are we kidding! All of our Politicians, both Democrats and Republicans are corrupt - it is just a matter of degree isn’t it? We have the most corrupt President in our history and now we worry about the Congress?

This isn’t about congress, its about a man who was the most powerful legislator in California: Darryl Steinberg.

No, actually, it is about both! The Congress is suppose to hold the President responsible and insure that he adheres to the Constitution! At this point, we have neither the President nor the Congress adhering to the Constitution.

We do have Congress trying its best to appease their voters and the President is doing the same for his Party. Neither is working for America though - Party rules it seems!

A leak to al Jazerra? This sounds like a setup. Perhaps Calderon leaked it himself.
