That is true. BUT, you can BUY your way in, like Obama did.
That’s raaaaacciistt!!!
I doubt that the Kenyan bought his way into Harvard Law School. No need - affirmative action.
As for “buying” oneself into Harvard College for undergraduate studies, it's my understanding that “development cases” start at around $5 million for students that aren't far off from being qualified.
In other words, if you're a level or so below what Harvard would usually accept, and daddy ponies up five million, you may get in.
If you have a 1650 on your SAT and a 2.9 GPA, there is no amount of money that will get you in.

You mean like Halfrican-American Ø?
Unless you are Barack 0bama.
Exactly - this affects admissions. SAT scores are a determinant for acceptance to universities.
Only 42 percent of blacks who enter college will complete, versus 62% for whites.
Even with low-standards majors like "black studies" as a fall-back. Only about one quarter of one percent of computer scientists are black.
Guess what would happen to a business which openly proclaimed it would not hire blacks, or a university which proclaimed itself a "traditionally white" university, from which blacks would be excluded.
Reparations come in all shapes and sizes.
In a TV interview a few years back, former Manhattan Borough President Percy Sutton revealed that he was approached by a financial adviser to Saudi Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal to help pull strings to get Obama into Harvard Law.
I researched this back in early 2008. See my FR page for details
That’s different.
A private institution cannot discriminate on race, but can on academic ability.
Your original statement, in #3, was "Publicly funded colleges should not be able to give bonus points, but private colleges should not be limited as to who they give extra SAT points".
Guess what would happen to a university which declared "Black students need to have an SAT score 100 points ABOVE the average score of accepted white students"?
Guess what would happen to a business which stated a requirement of a position was "BS, unless you are black, in which case you will not be considered unless you have a PhD"?
Let them give the points. Then independent colleges will be the one turning out the truly stellar students. One way to win back the colleges and universities is to let them collapse under the weight of the collectivism they advocate.
yes, Half black and half Ferengi, for instance...
Ouch, that graphic is painful.
Including "Two plus Two Equals Four."
We must be very careful about sources. Polluted, stigmatized, excoriated source => 100% bad info, bad motive, and bad wisdom. Hate Joe Sobran now!
Next up: Sarah Palin and Ann Coulter.
Sure - because the racially-entitled don’t want to actually study and work. Too many blacks, Hispanics, and women (the “preferred minorities”) actually believe many of us only have our jobs because we are white, and that we really don’t do any work that any of them couldn’t do - even if they just have a fifth-grade education.
I worked in a place once (as an accountant) where I received a promotion (which surprised me - I was very intimidated by it); a black co-worker (a part-time file clerk) who had been there longer told me he was angry they hadn’t offered it to him. He was truly barely literate, had no knowledge of the work, and really had no idea that there was anything he’d really have to do. He believed they just gave me money instead of him because he was black and I was white.
If whites knew how out of touch many “preferred minorities” were with the daily reality the rest of us face, they would be very frightened; there is no conceivable way we can coexist. There is absolutely NOTHING in common.
Affirmative action is simply a way to fit people into a modern economy who have job skills more relevant on the prairie 150 years ago.
Yeah, I was wondering, too...
Who called that meeting, where they decided this?Stuff like this should have spectacular consequences for the participants.Who were the attendees, who assented to this fraud, and where are they now? (So they can be dragged in the streets.)
