Yep, I saw some rank stuff, that would make you shake your head, when I was there too, especially in the nut ward.
HOORAY Steven D. Sandison
You were a Guard!?!
The video cracks me up.
We called ourselves officers. I saw some weird stuff in there.
I have always assumed that the very worst job you could have in America is being a prison guard in a state that has no death penalty. A convict doing life in prison can attack and/or kill you with impunity, because he has absolutely nothing to lose.

“The video cracks me up.”
LOL! He reminds me of a slimmer Penn Jillette. I’m half-expecting the judge to come into view as Teller.
That’s very true. I worked in uniform in NY’s prison system for 25 years. Retired in 2003. Although the death penalty was reinstated by legislation in ‘95 (Gov. Pataki), it was eventually overturned in the courts.
He clearly performed a public service.
Perhaps his parole board should be advised of this.
I recommend a pardon. But I also recommended one for the guy that killed Dahlmer. Some crimes cannot be paid for in this world.
If he got life without parole its a pretty good bet he’s an inmate for good reason.
Seems to me he atoned for a good chunk of his crimes.
"I did the job you were supposed to do, but failed."
Well I’d have to know a lot more about the murder that put him in prison first.
Sad that a guy serving life for murder has a greater sense of right and wrong than a leader of the dim party.
You seem to know a lot about prisons. I hope it’s not from first hand knowledge. And I hope I never learn very much.
I do have two funny stories. A friend of mine was retired and he taught part time at a prison. He said he was told they’re never to discuss why they’re incarcerated. One day my friend was sitting at his desk talking to a student prisoner and another one was working at the blackboard behind him. They were talking about computers and my friend was explaining to the guy across the desk from him about how people can hack into computers and steal information. The prisoner said “I wonder how much time you’d get for that.”
The guy at the blackboard said “Five years.” He was in for hacking into the University of Tennessee.
Another time my friend told one of the prisoners that he was coming along too slow and he needed to speed his work up a little. They man said “Sir, I’ve got 15 years to finish this.”
Great idea for a Kickstarter campaign.
And a reality show.
Lifestyles of America’s wealthiest lifers.
For later.
I hope hero killer is among their top targets when Eddie Ray Routh arrives!!!
