“It’s Walker or Cruz.”
As much as I support Cruz, I would like to see Walker as Prez. Mainly because he has Governor experience.

I agree and isn’t it interesting that both are sons of ministers?

Walker is doing good so far. I want to see him master the art of television. It’s a non-negotiable feature our candidates need. Cruz is very good on tv, but I would want to see him exude more charisma to be comfortable with him as candidate. He would need to be able to identify with voters to win. Walker does that well. I am not all in with Walker. These two are my preferred candidate. IMO, while the idea of governors running is good...I think the electorate has changed and does not weigh traditional advantages like executive experience and military experience as they once did. The requirements today begin with television appeal and leadership/principle.

May the best candidate win.

I am so tired of hearing this idea that governors make the best presidents, which has not been borne out by history.

Over the past 100 years (or so) we have had 8 presidents with prior gubernatorial experience:

Theodore Roosevelt
Woodrow Wilson
Calvin Coolidge
Franklin Roosevelt
Jimmy Carter
Ronald Reagan
Bill Clinton
George W. Bush

With the exception of Ronald Reagan and Calvin Coolidge, the remaining six have been unmitigated disasters.

That's hardly an encouraging record.

I like a lot of what I know about Walker, but the fact is that he appears to be a supporter of amnesty/immigration reform -- which is a deal killer as for as I am concerned.

Ted Cruz is the ONLY consistent, articulate conservative candidate who seems to understand the proper role of the federal government in all respects.

I believe that when one looks at the whole pack, Cruz is the only one who has the brains, the principles and the experience to save this country, if in fact it can be saved after 100 years of Progressive leftist infestation by both parties.
