Feds look to adopt 322 pages of fresh taxes, regulations; FCC Chair Refuses to Testify before Congress
Another wild power-grab. Power without accountability. The net is the very last frontier for free speech.
Despite google algorithms that consistently render day in day out, year in year out always render left-wing sites on first page search results; Despite filters that block my site and sites like mine (Jihad Watch, The Religion of Peace, Creeping Sharia, Sharia Unveiled, et al) at work, school, and even US army bases and government agencies; Despite search engines refusing to include news sites like mine in the news searches; Despite the fact that the mainstream broadcast and print media, with the exception of the tepid Fox News, are notoriously left; Despite the fact that we are a mere fly buzzing around the mammoth head of the mainstream media; Despite the fact that they should win by overwhelming numbers because its David vs. Goliath; They fail, because their ideas fail.
Which is why they must destroy us.
The issue is not slavery for a good cause versus slavery for a bad cause; the issue is not dictatorship by a good gang versus dictatorship by a bad gang. The issue is freedom versus dictatorship. Ayn Rand

FCC Chair Refuses to Testify before Congress ahead of Net Neutrality Vote, The Corner, February 25, 2015 by Andrew Johnson February 25, 2015 (thanks to Van)
Two prominent House committee chairs are deeply disappointed in Federal Communications Commission chairman Tom Wheeler for refusing to testify before Congress as the future of the Internet is at stake. Wheelers refusal to go before the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday comes on the eve of the FCCs vote on new Internet regulations pertaining to net neutrality. The committees chairman, Representative Jason Chaffetz (R., Utah), and Energy and Commerce Committee chairman Fred Upton (R., Mich.) criticized Wheeler and the administration for lacking transparency on the issue. So long as the chairman continues to insist on secrecy, we will continue calling for more transparency and accountability at the commission, Chaffetz and Upton said in a statement. Chairman Wheeler and the FCC are not above Congress. The vote on the new Internet regulations is scheduled for Thursday. The FCCs two Republican commissioners have asked Wheeler to delay the vote to allow more time for review. The changes would allow the commission to regulate the Internet like a public utility, setting new standards that require the provision of equal access to all online content. -
I suspect content-based censorship will loom. Any time the government regulates or legislates in secret, it never ends well. I guess we will have to promulgate these regulations to see what is in them.
when we're done promulgating we may need to take up pitchforks and hatchets for the march on Washington.
FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler was a lobbyist for cable television and cellular phone interests.
If its Communism we’re getting from Net Neutrality, you can be sure its Communism that benefits Crony Capitalism that buys politicians from both big parties.......
Historically, whenever a revolution or coup starts, the very first action is to take control of all communications - radio, TV. etc. - just saying.
If passed it needs to be a 2016 presidential campaign point and driven home daily...Even the People Mag,Entertainment Tonight, Low Info stooges can grasp this.
After we win it and ACA needs to be trashed
The government routinely f*cks up everything it touches.
Say good-bye to the Internet as you’ve known it.
Obama didn’t like you exchanging political opinions without supervision.
Be prepared for that late night knock on the door.
Radio Free America in 2016.
Looks like Ham and CB are about to make a come back.
Never thought we would see the day but its here
they have to shut down the freedom we currently have via the alternative media to expose their lies, they cant control the internet and this lack of deception in this area is anathema to dictators and democrats,
> Be prepared for that late night knock on the door
Be prepared for a shotgun blast to the face...
WE CONTROL THE HORIZONTAL,,,
Once it is done, it is done. There will be no reversing it. The processes, devices, infrastructure, etc., required to pull this off are all ready in place, and being utilized. At this point they are just coming right out with it and shoving it in our faces. Basically saying, “We win. You lose.”
I’m afraid I’m with you on this. The cynic in me says no chance. The feds have a chance to vote themselves more power over us, or not. Is there really any doubt as to how this is going to go? Is there any doubt that the days are numbered - maybe not extremely small numbers, yet - but the days are numbered for sites like FR. Hate crimes, hate speech, hate sites, hate content. Anything and anyone that does not gloriously support dear leader, whichever fascist that happens to be at the time, will be banned and blocked. Time to think about starting up the old FIDOnet dialup point-to-point systems again.
Correct. The liberals will press for “truth” standards, standards that won’t apply to them. Truth will be defined as “what most people believe” just like Global Warming.
They won’t be all that secret once they start being enforced. Then people will bitch and moan about it and do pretty much nothing. Congress will make a lot of noise and then do nothing. We’ve become a nation of wimps and crybabies.
Wheeler’s life may have been threatened if he does with this administration. They are worse than any Mafia that has ever existed. They assassinate, extort, bully, harass, steal, lie, plot, don’t play by the same rules (exempting themselves), etc... So tell me they are any different than the Mafia? I say far worse. The Mafia at least has limits and certain codes of conduct they won’t violate. Our current feral government has none and they are getting worse.
Ham and CB
Those two have been regulated for years.
Looks like I know what MY next birthday gift is...
Congress needs to pass a law immediately declaring that all these rules are invalid and repealing them.

This is all part of Soros setting up the NWO. He’s going to fry like bacon later.
Big Brother will be watching you.
