Report: Ted Cruz Is Staffing Up in Iowa
National Review ^ | February 25, 2015 5:09 PM | ELIANA JOHNSON

Posted on 02/25/2015 2:48:06 PM PST by SoConPubbie

Reports are beginning to pop that Ted Cruz is on the brink of hiring the men who will run his campaign in Iowa, a state the Texas senator believes he very much has the chance to win come January 2016.

A well-sourced Republican operative in the state tells me Cruz is hiring 2002 Senate candidate Bill Salier, who run Tom Tancredo’s 2008 presidential campaign, and Bryan England, who has served as aide to both Iowa congressman Steve King and Bob Vander Plaats, the three-time Republican gubernatorial candidate and political activist. A spokesman for Cruz did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Craig Robinson, a former political director of the Iowa Republican party who chronicles political developments in the state on his blog The Iowa Republican, said Wednesday afternoon that “word on the street” was that Cruz was in the process of hiring both Salier and England. He tweeted the following:

Word on the street is that @tedcruz is in the process of hiring 2002 US Senate candidate Bill Salier and Bryan English to run Iowa campaign. — Craig Robinson (@IowaGOPer) February 25, 2015

” Yes, it’s becoming more and more evident that Fox is, for some reason, at least partially boycotting covering Cruz. “

Fox is pro amnesty.

Yes, Fox always seems to have either Graham or McLame on.

” Hannity is the Prince of RINO’s”

Just a cheerleader for the GOP. Still hangs with Rove. Nuff said.

As a former Sconnie, I do not support Walker.

More importantly, I do support Ted Cruz.

During all the Tea Party rallies that I attended in 2011 at the Wisconsin State Capitol in Madison, I never saw Walker join us. Palin, Breitbart, Marcus, and other conservative speakers showed up, but never Walker. We were surrounded by tens of thousands of rabid, violent union thugs, but Walker decided to hide in the Capitol. Left a bad taste in my mouth, as I froze in the frigid wintry weather, defending conservatives against liberals and RINOS. And I absolutely don’t trust him on illegal invader immigration.

So my vote will be for Cruz in 2016.

Please put me on the Ted Cruz Ping List.

Thank you.

Next, they will be reporting his anticipated bowel movements. Do something real, Cruz...put a hold on the proposed Attorney General nomination.

You are throwing your vote away, unless Cruz wins the nomination.

Walker has won 3 elections in 4 years, he is a very focused and principled Governor who has been more vetted than any Republican aside from Palin. Cruz was just elected to the Senate in 2012.

Hannity was probably pissed off over his vote for Homeland Security. Another speech is in order to have everyone ignore his horrid vote.

Just a misleading headline.

I don’t care about the headline. The fact is he voted with McConnell and Reid. I always wondered how he is the guy with principles. No it is Walker for real.....that guy stands by his ideals and this week is looking dang good for Walker and not so good for Cruz. Although Cruz still could be VP for Walker. I think that would be great actually.

My refusing to vote for Walker is absolutely not a throw-away vote.

My vote for Ted Cruz is a vote for Liberty, Freedom, and the U.S. Constitution.

Yep, I am a principled, patriotic, voter.

On election day, I will write in Ted Cruz, and I will vote only for U.S. Constitution-supporting politicians at the federal, state, and local level.

And, my #2 politician that I admire is Senator Jeff Sessions. This leader rocks! He will help stop the lowering of our American flag.

We have to stop the illegal invaders from destroying America! Walker WILL NOT DEFEND us conservatives from the coming tyranny of Main Street America barrios and islamic enclaves. He IS ON RECORD supporting amnesty!

Unfortunately, I am still recovering from being stabbed in the back by Wisconsin RINOS, Senator Ron Johnson and Congressman Paul Ryan. Once bitten, twice shy! Never again will I vote for a RINO.

I am so glad I left Wisconsin for Alabama!

Understand this, a vote for Walker is the true throw-away vote, one that I will not do.

I think Ted is about to come out swinging. zero has gone into complete destroy mode, now that polls are showing the electorate turning against him.

We’re in for an explosive week. Lord, hear our prayers.

“Much rather live in the woods before I vote for any one else.”

What’s wrong with the woods?

I live in the woods. And will vote for Cruz, whether he gets the nomination or not. I won’t vote for another RINO ever.

“And I absolutely don’t trust him [Walker] on illegal invader immigration.”

Since I escaped mexifornia because of how illegals - and their liberal hosts - have ruined that fascist state, I’m not voting for any pro-amnesty traitor ever. I’ve seen how illegals can ruin a place, making it unlivable for honest citizens.

You criticize Walker for not showing up at Tea Party Rallies with Palin and Brietbart? He is a governor for goodness sake.
Stop the circular firing squad! Walker wins elections as a conservative. Three in four years. That is saying something. Especially in Wisconsin.

Just like I threw my votes away on RINOs the last 16 years - W, McAmnesty, Romney. Those were wasted votes because they were not for a real conservative.

Walker will let more illegals invade and destroy our country. Just visit mexifornia and see what will become of the rest of the US. I just escaped there and I will never vote for my new home to be ruined like that.

Any pro-amnesty candidate is a traitor and will never get my vote.

I appreciate your sentiment. Just remember that you have to win elections to govern. Otherwise you might as well go live the woods. Which admittedly doesn’t sound like such a bad idea whomever gets elected.
