That story dates back to the end of January and was never really verified.
In fact, if I recall, DOD fell all over themselves denying it.
And there has been nothing, zip, zero, nada, since then.
I don’t think his ancestors came over on the Mayflower.
This article makes it sound as if he won’t be tried for desertion.
I can’t believe they swapped 5 Taliban for this deserter.
