New Likud Ad Reminds the US Opposed Foundation of Israel Too (As Iran threatens to destroy Tel Aviv)

As tension grows over US deal Netanyahu says will leave Iran as a nuclear threat, Likud comes out with hard-hitting campaign video.

Amid an ongoing confrontation over the Iran nuclear deal being formed by US President Barack Obama's administration, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has come out with a new ad saying he is not afraid of disagreement - and pointing out that the US also opposed the establishment of Israel.

"1948, (David) Ben-Gurion stands before a fateful decision: the establishment of the state of Israel. The American Secretary of State strongly opposed," recalls the ad. "Ben-Gurion, in opposition to the position of the American State Department, declares the establishment of the state."

"Would we be here today if Ben-Gurion didn't do the right thing?" poses the video, followed by the Likud slogan "only Likud. Only Netanyahu."

Netanyahu for his part has said he has a responsibility to the survival of the Jewish state to warn against the Iranian regime that has threatened Israel with destruction, including a threat on Saturday by Iran claiming to have missiles that can hit Tel Aviv in six or seven minutes.

Under the deal, Netanyahu has warned Iran would be left with nuclear breakout capability, allowing it to rapidly obtain a nuclear weapon in the near future. Iran last July claimed it "needs" 19 times more nuclear centrifuges than the number offered by world powers, demanding 190,000 centrifuges.

I’m thinking the US was the first nation to recognize Israel in 1948.

Secretary of State George Marshall opposed the foundation of Israel, but Truman’s old haberdashery partner, Eddie Jacobsen, convinced him to recognize the new nation. Marshall came close to resigning over it, but David Rockefeller at the Council for Foreign Relations in New York convinced him to stay on.

Marshall was buddies with the Saudi camel jockey FDR installed as dictator, Ibn Saud, and Saud was violently opposed to a Jewish state. FDR was a raving Jew-hater. Not sure about Marshall.

It was an elderly Dr. Chaim Weizman who traveled to Washington to meet with Truman. State Department hacks prevented this. Eddie Jacobsen went straight to the Oval Office to plead for a personal meeting with Weizman (Truman never forgot where he came from). Jacobsen spoke his piece & paused.

Harry Truman drummed his fingers, then spun around in his chair & said with a grin, “All right, you baldheaded son of a bitch, I’ll see him! Tell Matt to arrange a meeting as soon as possible after I get back from New York.”

The meeting took place, the U.S. recognized Israel, & some State Dept. underlings wound up in Timbuktu & Kathmandu.

Second if memory serves. The USSR was first by a few minutes.

Not long after, Truman is said to have broken down into weeping (rare for him) when someone thanked him for helping bring the state of Israel back to life after 2000 years.

The UN, State Dept. and current occupier of the White House all regret that Israel was not only founded but thrived and managed against all odds to survive.

Since 1948 the UN has backed, former Nazis (Kurt Waldhiem), arch terrorists (Yassir Arafart) and all motions against the state of Israel hoping she would be defeated, time and time again.

The Jews of Israel showed cunning and tenacity and much to the chagrin of the State Dept. and the hundreds of “Arabists” there, she lives!!

Now at this critical juncture in history when a Pro-Islamicist sits in the White House, the US, led by that Manchurian Candidate are doing everything in their power to topple a friend of the USA and the MOST RELIABLE, stable, Western-Democratic, Liberal, open country in the entire region, Israel. They want Bibi out, and now before he spills the beans in the Congress about the Munich Agreement 2015 and a major capitulation to one of the top EVIL EMPIRES, Iran. The time is now. The time to speak out against a horrible agreement between the West and a soon to be nuclear armed Iran, is now!
If you thought North Korea was a disastrous attempt at diplomacy, just wait.
Wendy Sherman, I believe, is the Chief negotiator with Iran. She was assigned this dangerous task AFTER she failed utterly with the North Korean agreements as well.
Who gave her the authority to lead another failed diplomatic effort?

And embargoed arms to Israel, though not the Arabs. The concept of strong American support for Israel in the early days is largely a myth, though that doesn't equate to opposition either. Military support really began to accelerate under and after Nixon.

The US put pressure on other countries to vote in favor of the partition plan in Nov. 1947—otherwise the UN might not have voted in favor of having a Jewish state and an Arab state in Palestine (the British had announced they were leaving as of May 15, 1948).

Actually, Ben Gurion was able to blackmail the Rockefellers into using their strong contacts in Latin America to get Latin American countries into voting for partition. Israeli intelligence had strong evidence that the Rockefellers had had business dealings with the Nazis all during the 2nd World War.
