Here is a stereotypical quote on poor whites from the New Yorker aricle:

“...he lives on disability, is no longer fit for employment nor has any impulse to get a job, is divorced, fathers illegitimate children who grow up to do the same, gets hooked on meth or prescription drugs, does time in prison now and then, and has bad teeth...”

Why is it that poor whites are the only group of poor people who seem to have bad teeth. Don’t poor blacks and poor Hispanics suffer from bad teeth as well?

I can’t really answer that question, but it is certainly true that persons of Anglo descent have very poor teeth.

Myself included. And my dentist once told me that a very larger percentage of his patients were of Irish descent. I forget exactly what he said, but it the majority I believe.

Short answer: yes.

A strange fact, but the easiest way to brighten the teeth on fair-skinned people is to apply some stage makeup. It's surprising how "good" they look afterward.

By comparison to fair-skinned people, those with dark skin complexions appear to have brighter smiles and "good" teeth. In reality, a person's diet and oral hygiene determines whether they have good or bad teeth.
