Around 2006, the insiders knew the economy was falling apart. GWBush tried to ride it out, so the real collapse would not come until the next administration took over. But, it crashed about 18 months before he departed.

The Dems controlled the Legislative branch the last two years of the Bush 43 presidency. THEY caused the collapse in 2008.
