Gov.Walker is cutting Wisconsin state government and he was hit hard - over and over again - for his efforts but he prevailed.
Walker to a certain degree is similar to Reagan in that he stands his ground and does what the people want, as he has already proven to do in Wisconsin. And many Wisconsin Liberals even supported his efforts.
Walker has the ingredients but he's still FAR from being able to get the nomination. If he did get the nomination he would then get my vote.
He and Cruz the closest thing I've seen that even resemble Conservatives.
Hay Scott! Do do that voodoo that yoo do so WELL!!!
The author....just another elitist snob who thinks he’s so much smarter and wiser than anyone else.
A guy and his wife, neither of whom have had a real job. Get out there and get your hands dirty, Chaits. Show the rest of us you can really work before you sit on your high horses and try to tell us how to life our lives.
The liberals regard any form of tax relief as voodoo economics.
If you don’t believe in tax and spend then you are into voodoo.
If you dont believe in tax and spend then you are into voodoo.
Yes and the liberals have their other snide remarks, “tax-cuts for the rich” is always up there with voodoo economics.
Ooooh, wow, Voodoo Economics, they must be desperate going that far back!

I guess Voodoo isn’t all bad.
I’ve never figured out how Libs don’t understand the idea that if you tax less, it’s like giving everyone a raise, amazingly they have more money to spend and the economy grows. It’s not really all that complex.
The liberals like to punish and redistribute. They love big government and high levels of taxation.
Even when you point out to them that lower tax rates usually increase revenues to the Treasury they still would prefer to keep rates high.
During the 2008 presidential campaign when Obama was told that when you cut the capital gains tax rate, you get more revenue, he said it didn’t matter. He did not think a hedge fund operator should pay a lower tax rate than a salaried employee.
As we have painfully learned, supply side economics without a balanced budget is just a way to get and spend more money and to burden the US budget with future entitlement expense.
The politicians spend every dime that come in.
I no longer support “supply side economics” as we have had it in the past.
I support ‘supply side debt reduction’.
In the case of RR:
When he was sworn in as POTUS, the top tax rate was 70%. When he left office it was 28%. The economy grew like gangbusters, millions of new jobs were created, the stock market roared, and revenues greatly increased to the Treasury.
RR had to dramatically increase defense spending in the wake of decades of neglect and a hugely increased Soviet military capability and expansion particularly in the Third World.
RR was less than successful in curtailing domestic spending. The Dems controlled the House of Represenatives during his entire term in office.
Yep. Supply side brings in money. No doubt about it.
The question is what gets done with the money. I’d pay down debt, and I damn sure wouldn’t increase entitlements.
I don’t make the argument that Republicans are perfect. They aren’t. Far from it. But when you consider EVERY SINGLE ENTITLEMENT ever established came from Democrat administrations...well there you go. And it IS entitlement spending on automatic pilot which is the chief cause of our insanely high national debt and persistent budget deficits.
The simple answer is to never for a Democrat for any office or for any reason. It is their goal to get as many people dependent on government as possible. It’s how they get elected. It’s why they turn blind eye to illegal immigration.
That is why I support Supply Side Budget Reduction.
I won’t vote for anyone who supports any form of illegal invasion. Walker does.
The comments at the site demonstrate why the political divide in this country cannot be peaceably resolved.
I wonder who will be cast as Scott Walker on Saturday Night Live...
Agreed.
