It will take an act of congress to fix this mess.
It’s why you practice groin/lower belly, neck and head shots. Aiming at hands is good practice too - course you’d have to draw that in yourself, possibly.
The Act would be to dismantle F-Troop and the DOJ as well. Both are irretrievably corrupted and soiled. And never allow re-hiring of anyone currently employed.
And who, in our newly elected and empowered Congress, is going to either pass legislation banning the BATF from legislating at whim via legislation, or cutting off all funding to this Constitution hating bureau?

Question! Where /from whom do all these restrictions originate? It appears the US is populated with a bunch of anti gun people. After fighting the Japs in WWII I never would have imagined being controlled by a bunch of gun haters. We gun owners have to take the ‘bull’ by the horns and out and immobilize these so called societal protectors who if they ever were armed forces service people need to be put into oblivion.
The BATF better hope it’s an act of Congress that “fixes” this instead of an act of “The People”.
1934...Federal Firearms Act... taxed machine guns and sawed-off shotguns...
1938 — National Firearms Act, the most damaging piece of legislation probably in the entire history.... set up Federal FIrearms Dealers who had to keep records for the government and were prohibited from selling to certain persons, etc.

How can you say the BATFE doesn’t help people?
Mexican drug lords are people. The BATFE helped them get a lot of rifles, grenades and heavy machine guns.
Lawyers are people. They make lots of money defending honest people against the BATFE’s unjust prosecutions.
Don't they also exist to immolate "right wing fanatical Christians" and their children? Remember Waco? That was originally a BATF raid. The local sheriff, who had good relations with David Koresh, suggested they meet with Koresh in the sheriff's office. Nope, they wanted to stage a high profile raid. They ended up killing a lot of innocent men, women, and children.
They were also the catalyst that set the Ruby Ridge fiasco in motion.
"...make(ing) life difficult for gun owners." is a side line for these guys.
If you want to go back that far as to government insults on a Constitutional edict so be it. However I believe what has been showing up in the last 10-20 years is much more of a danger to the right to bear/have arms.

Didn’t Reagan sign the bill that outlawed private ownership of any machine gun manufactured after 1986? What part of the 2nd Amendment did he not understand?
