This link allows you contact 10 legislators to support New Mexico Senate Bill 192 (SB 192) - SPECIAL PROSECUTOR FOR ELECTION VIOLATIONS with one mouse click. Your support will be expressed to all members of the Senate Judiciary Committee (all their contact info is listed on the action page). Please consider calling each member to follow up. Please act as soon as possible as the Judiciary Committee is discussing the bill today (2/16/15).

The people of New Mexico have been frustrated with the lack of compliance from local governments concerning election law compliance. Complaints filed are hitting road blocks because our district attorneys (DA's) work with local governments -- and it is a conflict of interest to pursue those elected officials that DA's must interact with on a regular basis. For example, some citizens' initiatives are being blocked. Citizens must be afforded the opportunity to exercise self-rule. We must remove the responsibility for enforcement from local DA's and allow an impartial party to enforce the rule of law. Citizens' rights are being ignored and we have no remedy under current statutes.

State officials might revise their voter registration forms....... and add this disqualifier:

"I am not now nor have I ever been an agent of a foreign government."

To be co-signed by official of their country of origin.
