Well thanks for calling my wife and I narcissists.
I’ll be 65 in November and she’ll be 55 in October, we go at least 2 times a week for an hour and a half to two hours a visit. It would cost us over 50,000 dollars to purchase all of the equipment that’s available to us for just 500 dollars a year. When it’s freezing cold we can still workout and when we hit that long stretch of 100+ plus degree days West TX is famous for it’s about 70 degree’s in the fitness center. She tends to drift towards cardio type workouts while I stick with the weights, after one year of this we’ve shown a hell of an improvement. I’m doing 3 reps of 10 at 210 lbs on the bench press with a max press of 245 lbs. 3 reps of 10 at 420 on the leg press with a max press of 510. I work the other equipment as well plus free weights. I’m not too sure what she’s capable of but I have seen her flip a 400 lb calf and hold it down while I vaccinated and ear tagged it. I’m 5-7 175 and she’s 5-2 and 120. Not sure what your seeing but as far as social it seems far from it, most that go there are serious about their workouts and don’t have time to chat. I really enjoy it and wouldn’t have it any other way.
Only an absolute fool would believe they'd have to spend 50k, or even $1 on "equipment" in order to exercise.
If ya believe that, you'll believe anything.
BTW, it's no secret, those places are full of narcissist...
BTW, I was taller than that at age 14...One other thing, the majority exercise club memberships are made up of men of smaller stature. Small man syndrome? I don't know.
Holy cow! That's extremely impressive! 99.99% of guys 40 years younger than you can't do that.
