I don't think it is an actual "ban," they've just gone on record that they would "prefer" that customers don't carry in their stores. In Texas, a ban requires a specific sign, and unless it conforms exactly to the law, they can't ban anything that the law allows.

But their suggestion lets me know what side of the issue they are on.
