That’s the way it was in the Killeen, Texas Luby’s caferteria in October, 1991 when a lunatic shot and killed 21 people there. One diner had to leave her handgun locked in the car trunk when she entered, then she helplessly watched her parents being killed.
This was the impetus of the Texas concealed carry law that followed quickly after that as a result.
