Egypt, Russia Ink Deal to Build Nuke Reactors (Obama Administration Will Not Block Deal)

The Obama administration implied Tuesday that it will not act to block a new deal between Egypt and Russia to build nuclear reactors in the Middle Eastern country.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi announced early Tuesday that his government had inked a memorandum of understanding with Moscow to jointly construct Egypt’s first nuclear plant, according to multiple reports.

The deal was announced following a meeting between al-Sisi and Russian President Vladimir Putin, who was in Cairo for meetings about boosting ties between the two nations, particularly on the security front.

The high-level meeting between the two leaders comes as U.S. relations with both countries continue to cool. Egypt has increasingly relied on Russia for military and security hardware since the Obama administration scaled back its historic cooperation following the ousting of the Muslim Brotherhood’s Mohamed Morsi.

Block the deal? He's practically the mid-wife/broker, made it happen and is collecting the "benefits". Putin reminds me of those Chinese garbage collectors who brazenly go through middle-class neighborhoods rummaging through the garbage. Whatever valuables (allies, global partners) Obama "discards", Putin is there to scrape up and add it to his repertoire of the newly created geopolitical block of unmitigated America-foes.

Yes - the so-called “unintended consequences” of destroying all of our traditional relationships with other nations, trashing foreign policy like a juvenile delinquent, damn the results. Putin despises the little sh*t in the white house and is having a great time scooping up the debris. God only knows how all these shifting alliances and betrayals will come together to unleash the proverbial dogs of war. Seems to me like all hell is going to break loose at some point. And Obama will golf will civilization burns, without a care in the world.
