Myself and two of my buddies have invested in 15 tickets for two drawings.($20 bucks each)

No-one won the Saturday night drawing...there's another drawing tonight.

If there's no winner tonight, I will buy more tickets for the next two drawings.

I don’t play unless it’s a big jackpot. Got 5 tickets today.

I won in the last drawing. Four dollars. Every year lotteries have one billion dollars that goes unclaimed simply because many people don’t check their tickets if it’s not a big winner.

I could win 500 million easily. Of course 500 million other people would all have the same number.

That’s way too much money. I’ll take my chances on the state lotto for $5 million. Slightly better odds. My best ever was 4 of 6 numbers matched, won $56.

While that's a huge amount of money, buying a ticket is still probably a losing proposition.

Of course it is! However buying a ticket is a guarantee that you MIGHT win while not buying one is a definite guarantee that you won't win...........

I forgot the drawing was tonight otherwise I would have purchased a few............

If you don't buy one, it's guaranteed.

I'll spring for two bucks for a shot at dreamland.

I went into small (4 of us) office pool this time. I haven’t done it before but they shamed me into it this time.

I did buy some Florida state lotto tickets though- it’s at $12mm which is a more “manageable” amount. If I won it after fed(no state) taxes it would be roughly $7.5mm. I would call the lawyer and accountant first. Set goals and how to achieve them. .invest to give me a comfortable but not extravagant income ..spend a little to get it out of my system. .give my two weeks notice and then take some time to think and pray about it all. No sudden decisions other than retirement.

The increased odds of winning by buying one ticket vs not buying is incalculable.

I spend ‘the lottery ticket price’ at a gas station for a cup of coffee.

The coffee is usually warm, fresh and tastes good.
There is a sweetener packet or two.
There is a creamer packet, or two or three.

So, from a lottery ticket for something most likely never to happen, to a tangible cup of coffee.

I think i won.

Lottery...a tax on the stupid, a willing donation to the state, a fool’s errand, a desire to gain wealth with no effort...

On and on and on...the lottery plays on just about every base emotion that involves money...
