Used cars are no longer sold by folks that just want to get rid of it for more than scrap Back in the 90s, I stuck a for sale sign on my pick up, it had a retail value of about $2500. In 6 months time, I didn't get a single bite. I eventually gave it to my daughter - better than having a dealer steal it from me on a trade in.

My SIL is a motorhead and he knows vehicles by their smell .... of COURSE that's an exageration ... but he knows stuff just by looking at it ...
Anyway ... the used market is a gold mine to him because of his ability to analyze and repair for cheap
Boys USED TO come out of the womb clutching an imaginary stick shift ... today ... they get jobs that pay well enough to buy 'em and pay someone else to fix 'em when they're broke
