before you rush to want to put ground troops back in Iraq or take on the Russians we need military reform now
Personally, I don't want to put troops back in Iraq or take on the Russians, but I understand what you are saying.
I also think the problem is much bigger than military reform. We don't have enough "real" men to fill the boots of the real Marines Corps. And that goes for all the armed services... We're a nation of wussies.
We couldn't do what this country did back in WW2... because we just don't have the collective courage, determination, willpower... or moral fiber.

Typically when nations have to resort to putting women in their front line combat units that means that they are running out of qualified men to do the fighting. This is why the Kurds are forming “women” battalions. ISIS is replenishing their losses at a greater rate. I read where they have ~20,000 + recruits coming in from 90 different nations. We don’t need to put our women on the front lines but we do it because of “equality.” Women can pull a trigger just as effective as a man, but there are certain things psychologically that can break down moral of the unit and cause issues such as seeing women killed or maimed in combat, and of course love triangles and jealousy to name a few.
