Media broadcasters have plenty of power over us. It’s called brainwashing half the voters, and it explains how Obama and others like him get elected in the first place.
To some extent, Limbaugh identifies with Brian Willams as a colleague. Maybe this is why he tries to take the heat off Williams.

these people watch hteir representatives and leaders just making crap up, and getting away with it- changing the narrative to whatever whopper lie they want, and never suffering for it- so why not just make crap up themselves? Williams will get a ‘punishment’ of 6 months vacation time- period- whoopity doo! It all went downhill after the US Courts decided lies told by political people are acceptable under the free speech clause.
Thay all lie now and we the people have to live with it. But in the world of business there may still be a consequence.
