The whole article is a criticism from the left, the basic argument being that Obamacare aims at universal coverage and the Republican plan doesn't. What's worth reading in it, though, is its detailed explanation how the supposed Republican "alternative" amounts to no more than slightly watering down the law. The plan would keep: no denials for pre-existing conditions, people up to age 26 must be allowed to stay on their parents’ plan, subsidies for millions of people (though at lower levels), taxes on high-value plans, and many of the constraints on insurance companies’ underwriting decisions. And this is from the REPUBLICANS!
