One more thing about Facebook versus news site forums.
I’m not anonymous on Facebook. People there are people I’ve known for 35 years. When liberals try to portray Tea Party Conservatives as heartless, dumb lunks that don’t believe in science, the people who would be willing to believe that stereotype see me weigh in and have difficultly with their resulting cognitive dissonance.
Over the years, even my NJ teacher friends have come to learn that “taxing the rich” will not result in the promises made by politicians to suddenly come true. Though there is still the occasional emotional outburst! :-)

I am anonymous to a degree on FB...although most people know who I am, I use my stage name and use FB mostly to promote my entertainment business. As such, it does not pay to get too political and “Dixie Chick” myself with the liberal-leaning music community.
I do not believe in using FB to air my personal life and get attention like a lot of people do. How embarrassing.
