The one thing the Christian faith had that Islam never had was a REFORMATION.
Quite true. In my opinion, the Reformation didn’t change the Old and New Testaments or their basic meanings; it was over how the Catholic Church was organized & run.
For Islam it will need a revocation of those sections of the Koran that call for the killing and or enslavement of those who refuse to convert to Islam. Or deciding that they are no longer useful in a modern and “civilized” society. The new president of Egypt, El Sisi, has made a call for reform of Islam for the 21st Century world —i.e. stop living in the 7th Century like ISIS and other radical Moslems believe.
What Christianity had was Jesus instead of a founder who left being a merchant and became Mohamed the warrior chieftain, polygamist, and child user, when he created Islam, and we had centuries of Christianity being what it was supposed to be, before it veered off track after about 300 years.
