He is one of the ones the new Saudi king is going after, I believe.
Do you have a link for any reports to support what you posted?

The new king, Salman has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, and at many times cannot remember his own name.

I’ll look. I saw where they were clearing out the old king’s men, Turki and all, and I believe Talal’s name was among them.

What I can’t figure out is if thats a good thing or not.

I can’t find anything about Talal, so I may be mistaken. I see Bandar and Turki’s names, and thats it.

I did see this in an article referenced by this FR thread where Moussaoui mentions Talal as one of his donors before 911. Since 911 hadn’t happened yet, I don’t infer that he knew or was involved, but its interesting anyway. He mentions the new king, too.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3253801/posts

and the article itself:

http://www.nytimes.com/2015/02/04/us/zacarias-moussaoui-calls-saudi-princes-patrons-of-al-qaeda.html?smid=tw-share&_r=1

Quoting:

Mr. Moussaoui describes meeting in Saudi Arabia with Salman, then the crown prince, and other Saudi royals while delivering them letters from Osama bin Laden.

and:

He said in the prison deposition that he was directed in 1998 or 1999 by Qaeda leaders in Afghanistan to create a digital database of donors to the group. Among those he said he recalled listing in the database were Prince Turki al-Faisal, then the Saudi intelligence chief; Prince Bandar Bin Sultan, the longtime Saudi ambassador to the United States; Prince al-Waleed bin Talal, a prominent billionaire investor; and many of the country’s leading clerics.

“Sheikh Osama wanted to keep a record who give money,”

end quote.

Before 911, I believed that Bin Ladin’s mission was to take the ‘stans away from Russia and open up the caliphate there. That might have been his mission from the Saudi point of view, but I believe he had his own agenda too. Oh well, what do I know. And who knows if you can believe Moussaoui.
