The media think they have discovered another issue to beat Republicans over the heads withvaccines. But the media have no credibility on this, or any other major health issue. They do have, and often demonstrate, a partisan political bias on such controversial matters.
Vaccination debate flares in GOP presidential race, alarming medical experts, states The Washington Post in horror.
Its yet another attempt to portray Republicans as anti-science. This follows the climate change denier mantra used against conservatives and Republicans for supporting pro-growth economic policies.
In the measles case, NBC news is attacking Republican Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky for giving credence to an ideadisputed by the majority of the scientific communitythat vaccination can lead to mental disabilities.
Thats interesting. As we reported back in 2006, NBC was aggressively covering the mercury-autism link involving vaccines. That was because Bob Wright, Vice Chairman and Executive Officer of GE and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of NBC Universal, had a grandson who was autistic.
Going further back in time, consider a program on the link between vaccines and mental problems which was aired by NBC in 1994 and featured Katie Couric as a co-host.

The anti-vaccination crowed includes quite a number of leftists. This isn’t a partisan issue but the media wants to make it one.
I rather doubt that Playboy Playmate Jenny McCarthy, she of the MMR vaccine causes autism crusade, is either a Republican or a Conservative.
Notably, Ms. McCarthy doesn’t seem to consider that her well-publicized negative lifestyle habits (smoking, drug use, you name it) could have contributed in the least to her son’s autism.
Why in the world do they take the bait? The simple response to this issue is to point that measles and other communicable diseases were virtually eradicated from this country WITHOUT a federal mandate and the problem only resurrected itself after Preezy Obola's non-executive Executive Order allowing millions of non-citizens to come into this country.
If there should be any federal mandate regarding vaccination it should be directed towards those individuals.
Reframe the argument:
Where are the measles coming from?
A: Illegal immigrants being given work visas by Obama.
Its not a simple left vs right issue and its not simply people not believing in vaccines. There are a whole range of opinions on it and ridicule is not a winning argument.
Up high!
...meanwhile OBAMAmeasles spreads across the USA
Republicans need to be like that New England Patriot who stepped in front of that Seattle Seahawks receiver and intercepted that pass.
He recognized the play and reacted to it quickly and turned everyone's world around.
Republicans should have that guy speak at their Convention.
Alas, my guess is the guy is probably an Obola supporters
Thats the correct answer, but these GOP morons will never get it.
Nor will they ever get that the logical path is to never, under any circumstances give ANY interview to their unapologetic, liberal media.
They are going to print or report a lie in spite of what is actually said so why give them credibility by participating in their propaganda effort.
The people I know who have anti-immunization bumper stickers often have them next to union and Obama bumper stickers.
Totally agree! The whole vacine brouhaha is a mis-direction play to draw attention away from the fact that the most likely vector is the illegals who clearly were not screened.
..and why would you need one each year instead of just once?
I wonder how many of these illegals are in states with the highest number of outbreaks?
Are they talking about TB breakouts? Nope. Know why? Most likely cause are illegal immigrants.
Why are they talking about this one? Most likely vector is a tourist from overseas. There’s a second trap in this story. Don’t fall into it. Bring up the other “extinct” communicable diseases that are being spread by illegals.
As soon as some strong conservative contender brings up the measles - illegal connection, they’re going to bring out the tourist from Bangladesh or where ever who didn’t know they were sick until they got home and are so sorry.
I’m coming around to giving the bed wetters what they want. Let em skip their vaccinations and the gene pool thins out. Mean spirited? Well if they’re gonna be idiots about it, then they’re going to suffer.
I agree. The Elephant in the room that is constantly ignored. All kinds of weird (formerly extinct) diseases have been cropping up - particularly in California - as the illegal invasion has ramped up. This has been going on for years, but the spike over the last year is correlated with the deliberate push by Obama's stealth government to bring in all these infected third world 'children' (children up to their twenties) to collapse any semblance of border control.
The Media ignores that fact and focuses on the Home Schoolers, or other American citizens that eschew vaccinations. They aren't the problem -- it is the thousands of disease carriers that we have recently imported.
That's a terrific analogy. It pains me to no end to see the Republicans so tone-deaf, betting that the public will forget things. The GOP is so afraid to offend, that they dare not speak out against anything.
But alas, the GOP doesn't appear as disagreeable to Obama amnesty "executive action" as we are.
