AMMAN - Jordan has executed by hanging a jailed Iraqi woman militant whose release had been demanded by the Islamic State group that burnt a captured Jordanian pilot to death, a security source said on Wednesday.
Responding to the killing of the pilot, whose death was announced on Tuesday, the Jordanian authorities also executed another senior al-Qaida prisoner sentenced to death for plots to wage attacks against the pro-Western kingdom in the last decade.
Sajida al-Rishawi, the Iraqi woman militant, was sentenced to death for her role in a 2005 suicide bomb attack that killed 60 people. Ziyad Karboli, an Iraqi al-Qaida operative, who was convicted in 2008 for killing a Jordanian, was also executed at dawn, the source said.
Jordan, which has been mounting air raids in Syria as part of the US-led alliance against Islamic State insurgents, said it would deliver a "strong, earth-shaking and decisive" response to the killing of pilot Mouath al-Kasaesbeh.
The fate of Kasaesbeh, a member of a large tribe that forms the backbone of support for the country's Hashemite monarchy, has gripped Jordan for weeks and some Jordanians have criticized King Abdullah for embroiling them in the US-led war that they say will provoke a militant backlash.

It’s a beginning. Keep up the good work Jordan. You could teach a few American Presidents some valuable lessons in decisive thinking.
Yes, they sure could. If more of this happened, maybe beheadings of citizens from other countries would stop. Better yet, put together a coalition of countries like Israel and Jordan and let them bomb ISIS into extinction.
Which president? Not this feckless buffoon.
NO pictures of the hanged at the link.
Too bad.
Thanks for posting it. The pics need to be seen. I was at media blackout at work today.
IF YOU WANT THE LINK TO THE ACTUAL “BURNING EXECUTION” I can supply that, too.
Thank you. Very fitting!
Thank you. I was able to view it when I got home.
Honorable guy. My prayers for his family.
Need to start a rumor that the rope was covered with pig intestines
In one of the photos. Am I wrong but it looks like you can see his skeletal bones as he burns. I thought I could see the rib cage and the spine. Dear Jesus, please come quick!
Please stop showing those photos here. I already thru up after watching it. Send it out to world news agencies instead. We got the gist.
The retribution ratio is to low. I believe a 10 to 1 ratio is more fitting. If need be to attain such a ratio make special safaris for getting the Jihadists.
Rep Duncan Hunter was quoted by the Washington Examiner on the King’s meeting with American legislators today:
“He’s angry,” Hunter said of the king. “They’re starting more sorties tomorrow than they’ve ever had. They’re starting tomorrow. And he said, ‘The only problem we’re going to have is running out of fuel and bullets.’”
Jordanian spokesman have described that their response will be “earthshaking”, which sounds like aerial bombardment to me. The King himself is an Air Force guy, so this would be a natural way to vent some rage on a target set. They will probably need targeting info as well as ammo, fuel and maintenance support, but it sounds like they have fighting spirit.
Also, ISIS did not just fall off the turnip truck - they are essentially al Queada in Iraq, regrouped after Obama released them from Camp Bucca Confinement Facility. They were once led by a Jordanian from Zarqa - Zarqawi. These folks Great, Great Grandparents knew of each other. The tribe of the woman hung today is from just over the border in Anbar Province of Iraq.
This could be the start of a high intensity tribal vendetta. Some tribes may give up their criminals rather than go to war over them. Jordan has deep insight, and intelligence capability deep inside these communities. Jordan might have some sway with the new King in Saudi Arabia as well, but that we will have to see.
All in all, recent developments confirm my prediction of 2015 as “The Summer of Death” for ISIS. They may not have to wait until Summer after all, but more is on the way then, such as the Battle of Mosul.
I hope they made a video of the handings and play it all over. Next they should try Al Badgdadi and sentence him to death—and issue a warrent for his arrest and exicution.
i have a pretty strong stomach but i cannot watch a man being burned alive.
Oh my God.
