Those amendments would still have to be ratified by the states.

There are 00 Houses of state legislatures.

If 13 of them refuse to ratify, the amendment dies.

Sorry, folks, amendments will not save the country. Neither progressive nor conservative amendments can possibly be ratified.

Even so it should be attempted. (I am not convinced that none of the amendments has a chance.)

It would be an educational experience for the populace that has no notion of how their government is supposed to work.

The young and impressionable may actually be converted from their public education indoctrination to a constitutional government frame of mind by watching the process and listening to the debates.
