Is murder the proper term, or is it execution?

I am sorry, I wasn’t more clear.

I often read these stories and they use execution for all of the others, but murder for this one. Clearly there are different definitions.

I often wonder if there is an AP style book for this stuff.

I consider it an execution because they are combatants against each other. The Japs were murdered because they were hostages.

I know it might seem like a distinction without a difference.
