After decades of justifying things “for the children”, it would be the height of hypocrisy. But that has never slowed ‘em down much before.
Why do you suppose the left is so concerned with saving the children? Saving them for what? NAMBLA? NAMBLA has had demonstrations for lowering the age of consent and gone to court for it, so far unsuccessfully, but the only outrage expressed has been from the Christians/conservatives. The liberals just mumble or change the subject. To Liberals paedophiles are another oppressed minority who can’t help the way they were born. They are still a tad uncomfortable with it all but they are slowly coming to the logic of their principle of Tolerance for Wierdos. Once upon a time when premarital sex was still generally frowned upon by the sane people of the country many liberal parents spoke out for guided sex- and letting their daughters bring their boyfriends home to “sleep” together in the safety of their own bedrooms.
