I can guarantee you he isn’t for baby killing. In 2011 he signed a bill that made budget cuts and does not allow for state funding for women’s clinics that provide abortions. Many clinics are closed. I’m not sure of the exact number in the state so far. I’m from WI, love Walker as my governor but prefer Cruz for prez. There are several reasons for this. One is that Walker is weak on immigration. I have been following his evolving statements since he has decided to run for POTUS.

To be fair, I do not think he is in favor of a blanket amnesty but he IS in favor of a pathway to citizenship. That would include giving citizenship to illegals as long as in his words “they go to the back of the line”. While some claim he would shut down borders if you do a search of Walker on FR you will find both written and video links of Walker talking about not even needing border security if the laws were better. He believes our immigration system is broken. He has recently written Mexico to request a Mexican consulate in WI.

He has been squishy with his immigration comments and has not specified a policy yet but his comments are worrying.

I remember him criticizing Cruz for shutting down the government and he has stated that conservative republicans should not be trying to primary out encumbant republicans (rinos).

Is he pro 2nd amendment? Sure but with conditions. He sided with the democrats requiring training and permits. He also signed a domestic abuse law that allows for people who have had police calls for domestic abuse surrender their guns. Not everyone agreed that this bill was a good idea.

He was originally for Common Core when he became governor but after pressure from conservatives changed his mind. However recently he has back-pedaled a bit on it and decided that each school should make their own choice in that regard.

He favors repeal of Obamacare but he is for replacing it with something else.

Now I’m sure I will be accused of smearing Walker. People have to decide on their own how conservative the guy really is. Poke around a bit on FR and the internet before you have to make a decision. I would say from statements and actions he is more of a Paul Ryan, Reince Priebus type of Republican. That’s just my opinion.

I voted for the 3 times. I like him as our governor and I would vote for him again. As POTUS, he is not my first choice and somewhere between Cruz and Bush.

It is hard to say he even said there should be a path to citizenship. JSOnline

But Walker's actual comments - made in a webcast with Politico in D.C. - were ambiguous on what has been the most contentious question in the broad immigration debate: the status of millions of people living in the U.S. illegally. Walker never mentioned citizenship in his comments.

As for an embassy in Wisconsin, the current one is in Chicago for 3 million people. I think all he said was why should one have to travel to Chicago to do business there? They already send out temporary workers to do embassy business in rural Wisconsin. I'm not sure if that is unreasonable.

Fired off a letter to Rush's private email about this Josh, probably a Union-Stooge spreading falsehoods as well.

Walker has not been clear on immigration, yet, at the same time, these were just remarks taken out of some interview. A bit offhanded, not a formal policy yet.
