If everyone plays true to form the Republicans will threaten to strip the new taxes out of the budget and the new expenses like free Community College. The Sultan will threaten to veto and Congress will back down and pass the budget with everything just as the Sultan demands plus more money for new projects dreamed up by Republicans. If the Sultan is really on the ball, he will counter the threat to strip his taxes out with a demand for even more taxes and spending because of the delay in Congress. The Republicans will gladly succumb to anything he comes up with.
Especially now that that spineless coward Boehner was reelected as speaker.
The right thing to do is pass a respectable budget that leaves $0 for the White Hut staff operations, parties, travel etc. Let him live like his homies or pay for it himself.
Then the republicans will say “We couldn’t win this battle. But just wait till we get the white house, by golly.”
